SMS Communication Consent - KOVA by Kaigo Health
Last updated: May 7, 2026
KOVA is a text messaging service operated by Kaigo Health, Inc. on behalf of participating healthcare providers. KOVA helps patients maintain Medicaid coverage by sending renewal reminders, collecting requested information, and coordinating next steps with the patient's care team.
The website is not the patient enrollment channel for KOVA. Patients are enrolled through participating healthcare providers that work with Kaigo Health.
What You Authorize
By signing or completing your provider's patient communication consent form and choosing to receive SMS communications from KOVA, you authorize Kaigo Health, Inc. and your healthcare provider to contact you by text message at the mobile phone number you provide.
These messages may include:
Medicaid renewal reminders and deadline notices.
Eligibility verification and coverage-status follow-up.
Requests for supporting documents, such as proof of income or proof of address.
Instructions for uploading documents by SMS or MMS.
Guidance on state Medicaid renewal steps.
Scheduling and care-coordination messages related to your coverage.
SMS Program Terms
Messages may be sent by an automated messaging system.
Message frequency varies based on your renewal timeline and your responses.
During an active renewal period, you may receive multiple messages per week.
Message and data rates may apply.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Document Uploads and Sensitive Information
You may choose to text photos or files to KOVA, including documents such as pay stubs, utility bills, identification, or proof of address. Kaigo Health stores and processes those documents as described in our Privacy Policy and as required by applicable healthcare privacy laws.
SMS and MMS are not fully secure communication channels. Cellular carriers, your device, and your messaging app may store or transmit messages outside Kaigo Health's control. Do not text information you do not want stored by those third parties.
How to Opt Out or Get Help
You can stop receiving KOVA messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You can request help by replying HELP, contacting your provider, or emailing support@kaigohealth.ai.
Opting out of KOVA SMS messages does not affect your eligibility for care, your relationship with your provider, or your Medicaid coverage. It only stops KOVA text messages.
